X brace install rear chassis bolt stuck. alternative hole?

I am in process of fitting X chassis brace (matt's X brace), 2 bolt on back on chassis rail are stuck fast and grounded. I noticed there is 2 alternative holes just a inch away. Can i use those holes to bolt my X brace with larger bolt?

Yep but if i drill other new holes on brace... it will fit in
