Hi  s:) :) s:)
I should be getting my tyres fitted this weekend I don't suppose any of you lovely people have any recommendations of reputable places for our cars near me (stoke on Trent) that could do my tracking/alignment at the same time?
Also what should i be expecting cost wise?

Try this link

It directs you to your nearest hunter alignment centre.
Supposedly some of the best technology available.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Make sure you get quotes for a full 4-wheel alignment. I'd want it done on a Hunter personally too as most people seem to rate them.

Cheers andy Yh there the quotes Iv been getting that's why I'm just making sure it's definitely worth it with quite a big price difference, don't suppose you know if that's what demon tweeks use?

I don't rate the Hunter its too easy to cheat the readings. I use one every day and can get it to read whatever I want it to. The Jim Bean is a much better system plus having someone who knows how to set a car up correctly

Thats disappointing dave thought is was considered a good system.
Same old story got to find someone that you trust.

if there is a decent body shop in your area then they will have the best alignment systems, my mate works in a very good body shop in cannock with a awesome 4 wheel alignment but it is expensive. if you want i can get you a price

Hi there are lots of different makes out there we use two at work ,the most important thing really is to have a tech that is qualified on that type of machine and go for four wheel ailment and get ask if the quote includes adjustments .

The secret is finding somewhere who know exactly what they are doing. Hunter equipment is considered good but it's only as good as the person using it. There is a difference between getting all the readings "green" and setting the car up correctly

If you can spare the time take it over to Demon Tweeks (they've done many a Roadster), costs about £45 plus you get some club discount, had mine done their all the time, there's also ABP at Shavington but I've never had any work done by them.

Where about in Stoke are you?

Hi  :-) :-) :-)  I'm in Tunstall / biddulph area,
Demon tweeks quoted me £70 to do alignment and tyres don't think they use the hunter thought and when I think how cheap they are and the petrol it would cost me get there and back its not much different, think I'm torn between BLiNK in winsford and tyrZ for tyres in macc.
Winsford one has quoted £148 for alignment and tyres that includes adjustments (bit pricey but the seem to know what they talking about).
TyrZ quoted £48 for fitting tyres and a free alignment check just £30 per adjustment or rear/front axel which I am a little more dubious of.
ABP in crewe seemed nice but when speaking to them it's like they didn't have a clue £60 for fitting tyres and alignment inspection is £55 but that's with no adjustments he told me £90 is a usually price so that's £150 altogether but he told me tracking and alignment were the same just different words so when I went into it talking about how it was four wheel alignment I wanted his whole attitude changed  which has basically put me off now :/ .

So it's between BLiNK and tyrZ Iv been honest with both and said I may get my tyres fitted else where first cause I know I can do it for £40 but tyrZ mention they abit more because they use level less machine which Iv not heard of so maybe worth looking into  :-) :-) :-)

Tyres fitted car feels really different already, still deciding between wins ford n macc for alignment!
