Hey again, I've had a scout around and searched but not really a definitive answer...

Thinking about the 2zz conversion...for many reasons, one I'd like a bit more power but also because I fear the tapping noise my engine is displaying could be rod knock.

I've still to get a new roof fitted too at a cost of around £850, which doesn't leave much to the imagination...but how much would I be looking at to have someone do an engine swap for the 2zz?

Do I need to buy any extra bits and pieces or is it a straight forward swap? e.g. will I need to modify/replace the whole exhaust system etc?

Any simply-put guidelines on what's involved with the 2zz both cost wise and parts wise would be great. I can't seem to filter anything out from the various chats that've gone on.

Drive to wales for the roof £300 along way to be sure but £850 is mega money.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

In my opinion, it's the engine it should have left the factory with, and hands down the best thing I have done to my car.
