The pulley wheel bolt has no effect on the balance of the pulley wheel. The wheel itself is two concentric castings which are bonded together with a rubber ring. If warped the whole wheel will need to be swapped. Is there any noise if you run the engine with the belt removed?

When I say I have no torque wrench, I meant any socket the right size to use with a wrench so using spanners, which don't give much leverage.

Hmm, so perhaps when the new idler pulley was fitted, the belt then wasn't aligned quite right, or was re-tensioned incorrectly.

You can't hear any noise in the vid because I had just put water on it, thus silencing it!

So she went into the garage yesterday to deal with the oscillating pulley/belt. Apparently the oscillation wasn't at all major enough to be an issue, but as she was in anyway, I asked if the squeak could be looked at too.

Stripped the aux belt off, found wear on the month old belt, did a thorough examination of all pulleys and found corrosion on the inside of the crankshaft pulley. Cleaned it all up and stuck it back together with a new aux belt, then called me and said he was concerned the (new) belt tensioner wasn't putting enough tension on the belt. I'd noticed it leaking a little fluid near the ram before so decided to get it all sorted in one go and had it replaced (again).

She now sounds just as she should as squeak-free as a well-oiled dolphin.  s:D :D s:D

So I guess the squeak was probably caused by a few things together and seems to have been solved by a combination of new belt, new tensioner, new idler pulley and corrosion removed from crankshaft belt.

Either way, the hardtop can now come off without me being deafened! Happy bunny.

Big thanks to everyone here for your support and advice, every little has helped and I've learned lots on the way.

In other squeak-related news, the new power supply for my work PC arrived today, fitted it and silenced the stupid humming squealing groaning PSU fan also.

Sorting a squeak on an engine would be beyond me but swapping a psu no problem.

It is a few years old, but mostly it's the beast of a graphics card that eats PSUs - she really needs a 750, but they got me another 600 again :/
