It's been a few weeks since I've needed to put the 2 on a Motorway, but Friday I was on M27 and easing up to 70ish when I heard the engine giving a slight staccato sound and felt a vibration through the steering wheel that was in unison with the sound I was hearing. It wasn't a heavy noise, more in the background, if anything - Once I throttled back it disappeared  s:?: :?: s:?:    s:( s:(    s:?: :?: s:?:  Any suggestions? Could it be that the MAF needs cleaning?

At that speed it's getting light on the front end.
Are you sure the noise is from the engine and not say the tyres?

Now you've got me fretting - I'll check treads and pressures in daylight tomorrow But was convinced noise was from engine
