Ok so looking on Eurocars today they are offering an additional 5% off which end tomorrow night.
They offer a BMC Induction Kit which would work out to £150 and a K&N Kit for £170.

Are any of these any good or would I be better off getting the following:

Ebay - Spectre Performance 8705 Air Flow Sensor Mount

Carbon filter from:

If anyone has installed any of the above and has photo's I would be most grateful   s:D :D s:D

Yep seen the post, some good stuff on there and will be getting a CBS filter and Spectre Air flow sensor mount, just need to work out where to run it all to, I assume the best place is behind the battery?

Or just some 70mm ID silicone hose with a 45deg bend, cone filter, afew jub clips, and hack up the standard airbox for a maf sensor  s;) ;) s;)  cost me all of 45quid, sounds immense, and the filter is up between the battery and firewall, nice and cool there, plus next to the vent hole  s:) :) s:)

Be aware the CBS carbon box has a different actual filter in it compared to the BMC CDA even though they look the same. It may well still do the job (and is good value) but it isn't a like-for-like comparison.

i used these
Pipercross Foam Top Rubber Neck Universal Air Filter 70 x 100 x 150 mm
 m http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/rally/ai ... air-filter m

Automotive Plumbing Solutions 45 degree elbow Silicone Hose 70mm Bore Blue

Toyota MR2 Roadster 1.8vvti - Air Box - Standard
 m http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-Ro ... 19fdf8df5b m

you then cut the air box up to leave only a tube with the maf sensor. you could cut your original air box up to save a few  ££'s
Slowly replacing all the old parts for new parts so that one day i will end up with a brand new car !   s]

Does anyone know if there's a member who not only relocated the air filter, but made it isolated from the engine bay? It seems that behind the battery is a good place, but it's still getting hot air.

Just noticed your post Whitley, I just done mine today - CBS BMS style filter, spectre MAF holder and ASH 45degree hose and some ASH ducting, along with jubilee clips.

There's a metal Blitz air filter on my 2zz Roadsturd, which I've re located over to behind the battery. I don't even car if I lost 20bhp from it (which you never would, there are zero restrictions and it's huge!) the sound is absolutely immense. It literally sounds like it's on ITB's. None of that horrible raspiness that most have.  m http://youtu.be/Fx7GfdQf63c m

If you like the extra noise just do what I do. Pull off the tube from the airbox to the vent.
I'll do this on occasion just for laughs to hear the roar on wide open throttle. It's quite nice  s:) :) s:)

Then just pop the tube back in when you're done having fun  s:) :) s:)  Takes literally 2 minutes including unlocking car, opening engine bay, pulling off tube and closing engine bay. And it's FREE!
...neutiquam erro.
