flexis on sports cat opinions please

I have another thread ongoing regarding my mot failure on emissions, so during stripping it all down to find out why I found this

the internal of the flexis has split, which is quite strange as i have no idea how it would happen. The external of the flexi has also developed a split In the weld at the rear .
Could this contributing to my emission troubles ? What are my options?

I think you have answered why this happened in n your " any ideas" thread.
The main cat and pre cat being misaligned has damaged the flexible.
What you do to repair it, sorry I do not know!

Maybe, the bracket was about 5mm to far to the one side, which meant it wasnt sealing properly, which i think is what we could hear. problem I have is what to do now with it, im putting my standard cat back on for mot
so will see how it affects the performance, then I will need to do something with this  s:? :? s:?
