Which Magnaflow 200 cell to weld in to decat pipe?

I'm thinking of getting a Magnaflow 200 cell sports cat to have welded in to my topspeed decat pipe. Firstly do the Magnaflows sports cats work well enough to pass an MOT, I'm a bit suspicious of the sub £100 price? Secondly what is the correct size? Cheers Jeremy

just not sure whether to go for the 57mm pipe size and try to have it fit inside the decat pipe, or the 63mm and try to have it fit around the pipe.

The size indicated is usually to fit over the diameter tube, 2.5 inch will be slightly larger than 2.5 inch, I used the same cat and supplier, had it welded in and passed the mot.

Ok thanks that's reassuring. Did you have it welded in to a decat pipe you bought separately or have it welded in to a stock mid pipe? Can you remember which size you went for?

I butchered a CHE CAT/mid pipe with a damaged CAT. The stainless steel was so poor I had real trouble welding and to took to someone who shouted and swore because the quality of the metal was dog *hit

That doesn't sound good, not sure if mine is a CHE or topspeed but probably equally as bad. Can you remember whether you went for the 57mm or the 63mm sports cat?

It looks like 60mm to me so not sure whether to get cat that is larger diameter or smaller

Looks 63mm or 2.5 inches and available on auction site item number 251630550977. This is the same as the one I used and passed mot no problems.

You don't need to weld it into the decay, simple cut the old one off and weld in the new one
