Mine does a lot of 2 mile journeys to and from work at the moment and barely gets hot so I dread to think!

I didn't think a '2 could physically do a 2 mile trip ---- last time I tried one to the local Morrisons I ended up going via Carlisle (from Edinburgh).....
One of *them* cars....
[strike]C-one front end & side skirts, TTE spoiler, TTE rear bumper inserts,  Anthracite post-FL wheels on Toyo T1R. 6-speed box. Cobra Quad exhaust. Red leather. Lowered. TTE style bar.  And lots of shinny ....[/strike]

Trust me, 2 miles is enough in rush hour around here.

By far and away my best was a 370 mile round trip from Harrogate to Stansted, on a full tank!  s:) :) s:)
Filled up with the expensive Esso 97 stuff, might have helped..
I did my return journey in the early hours, may have reached 120 on a quiet stretch.. not advocating speeding of course, but it wasn't the most economically minded run..

Oops, sorry for the gravedig!   s:oops:  s:oops:

230 me, only fill every two weeks, I do two commutes to Manchester a week which is 13 miles  and like about a mile to my local station  the rest of the time so I guess it's probably about right?

Last fill up after doing Milton Keynes and back on mostly motorway........The 49 was on the Austrian road trip earlier this year when it was all motorway from fill up to fill up.

I always get accurate readings by filling to the top then zeroing the trip.

250? Hmm mine probably doesn't do that many,  and that's good...

I dont fill right up, usually just put £25 in ( unless i have a money off voucher) as i think the car feels bloated on a full tank after running low, i prefer the feel of the car with low fuel and no passenger   s:D :D s:D

I went a run up north last weekend. Filled up before i left and then filled up when i got home.

Worked out i managed 43mpg, I'm well chuffed!!!

I know the car isn't meant to be an eco box, but one of the reasons i bought it was i knew they were not bad one fuel. And i came from owning a 3.0 petrol BMW X3 that was getting between 18-24 mpg

I must drive too hard always pleased when I get over 250 don't think I've ever managed more than 320.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I think I get around 320 miles from full to the red (orange) light.
I don't think that's too bad to be honest.

I put some Redex in mine last week (it was on offer at Tesco's) and got a ~1.5 mpg improvement, hitting 340 with no yellow light.  It may all be in the mind but it sounds happier too.  The other half bottle went in the Civic and that had similar results.

I did a thread similar to this on MR2OC that's still running with some quite astounding results. Managed 45mpg ish from the mk2 N/A - looking forward to what the mk3-2zz can achieve on a run from Kent to Cornwall  s:) :) s:)  .....

..... trouble is.....

..... Lift sounds all too good  s:D :D s:D

(generally achieving 270-280 a tank on my commute, 40 mile round trip, mainly d/c with roundabout fun  s:) :) s:)  )

Last tank was 200 miles to tell half way point all motorway miles then only 80 to the second half all stop start traffic driving.
240 is what I would expect if I had been thrashing the pants off of her.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

I managed just over 400 miles on a full tank from lancashire to France somewhere I must have been running on pure fumes I've never tried to repeat that again, but that was a calm non stop motorway drive with no hold ups or stopping. Ordinarily especially when it gets colder it about 240/250 then the light comes on and I get to about 290 I always fill it and reset the trip that way I know what I can reasonably expect.
MR2 Chilli Red, final 300 production run for U.K. Hard Top, TTE twin pipes, Alacantra leather. Pre registered, no mods but  Brilliant! Favourite quote "I don\'t expect to know what is around the corner but I do at least expect to know where the corner is"

I tend to get around 320 to the red line with what I perceive as spirited driving. Looking at some of the figures people are providing here I wonder of I'm driving hard enough!
