Problem no1. I've managed to transform my 2 into a monster truck.

Problem no2. Wheels are slighter bigger than I imagined!!!

Side view.

Problem no3.

When I drive, over 15mph and under braking. There is a loud humming noise. It is not a good noise. But haven't a clue what it could be?

By just changing the wheels over I've created three problems.
Massive ride height increase
Width increase so it looks rediculous
Bad humming noise.

Help appreciated  s:) :) s:)

Tyre size is spot on. The offset is about 20/25mm out in the rear in my opinion.

That width of wheel and offset has been fitted before but ive only ever seen it with a pulled arch and a stretched tyre which wasn't ideal for the width of rim.

Looks like the wheels came off a Hummer   s:bounce: :bounce: s:bounce: .  Maybe a re - tune   s:oops:  s:oops:  ?

Not sure I agree with Tom on the tyres.
I am running 215-40-17 and according by to my quick search Josh has +40mm on the OD of the tyre. Which would make up some of the tractor stance seen.

Or does it just look too rediculous that no amount of arch rolling, or lowering the car will help it?

This was my first thought! Out of interest, how much abuse have the tyres had? Have you had them balanced recently?

Ok, definitely made the decision then! I've taken the hint guys haha  s;) ;) s;)  I will put them up for sale  s:) :) s:)

Not that much abuse, maybe a millimetre has been used, still got a lot of life in them for r888s. And balanced maybe a year ago.

LOL Wouldn't look bad if they were 15" wheels I think   s:D :D s:D
190whp/143wtq & 12.7s 1/4 mile- naturally aspirated on r888s.

These will be used on track stu so you want abit more in the sidewall with track tyres. What he needs is more offset and lowered. For track wheels i would prefer 16S to 17 thats 1 negative.

Bolt on over arches do the job. Hopefully mine will be a little bit wider than that this year if I ever get round to actually working on my car

probably right decision, without a body kit to hide em, they didnt suit imo

Let's get this straight, you are adding weight to a track car to cover the wheels?
Sounds a little counter intuitive.
