New gear shift never liked the standard one this is a prototype.  I love it and will drive this a bit and then see . But as got now I think it looks better.

Nice idea Justin. Reminds me of a spherical shifter I designed when I was at MG Rover.

Can you attach another piece of carbon to the shaft itself to hide the gap?
Doesnt need to be big. Perhaps attach it via a rubber thing so it can flex with the change in attitude of the shifter.
Just a thought.

Carbon wrap was not good. I did lots of research on what was good and bad and 3m seamed to be a safe bet. Anyway the backing would not peel off.  Anyway decided. Will just paint it. It's cost not alot to try the wrap. So nothing lost.

So a few friends been buying from Japan and I fancy a rare item. Let's see if I can pull it off.  

So at the. Moment it's all about the looks.. Off to wild west custom paint. We go.

So new head unit off the eBay £35 quid. Carbon fibre look Sony xplod. Can't believe how much better it sounds.  I will change the door speakers at some point. Also.

Also added a 3 gauge mount and my Xmas presents I will have some stack gauges



Now right at the beginning Of this build I got a 1zz for me to do the engine build . But things have changed I have sold it !More on that another time !

So spoke to paint man today gone over paint colour scheme and it has become a bigger job so will be done in December now so for the effect I will just post the finished product as the next picture , and then tell what and how we did it so last year was suspension and everything around it this year the looks and next year is power !

My nans wireless is better than the stock head unit.
I am getting gauges for xmas too.
Gone for PLX. One gauge can display any data. They do an app for AFR/Boost aswell.

AFR and boost constantly displayed on my phone.
Oil temp, oil pressure and EGT will cycle on the gauge.
Plus i think you can set warnings.

lol boost will be mounted on steering Colum just like my old RX7. stereo and gauges will be mounted better when I have the gauges (will be some sort of carbon fibre panel to make it look very race)  and you are right its not to my standards will do  push button start and power kill switch also.

I am a bit OCD blokes at work hate it but just imagine how my engine build will look , so excited roll on Jan when it will start

Oh you are right about that. So so much more avaliable for K series over the 1zz or, 2 zz.  

Many will ask what the budget is. Well it's depends on the wife. But I plan to build the engine.  Will post specs soon as I have it finalised..  As for the mounts. All will be revealed!

So you force a bit more info on the car out of me. It's a types s accord so is the very good a3 k24. So vtec is on both sides , I will be stripping adding few bits   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:    s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

this will decimate all if you put about 15 grand into it ! there will be more Fast and the furious quotes I am sure !




so it is here ! and over the next few weeks will start to remove and sell what I don't need , this car come from a very good source and it was right place and right time ,,I owe someone a favour big time.

Anyone doubting the Honda reliability this has done over 300k and runs like its out the factory. so after going in a type r Honda yesterday a k20 in a mr2 would be fast no doubt , so this k24a3 with more bottom end torque will be awesome. there is just so many parts and info on these motors. the yanks get serious power out of these as we all know
I have time on my side as the engine in my 2 is fine so i will build this make it all pretty and then fit . but before I will upgrade the rad for sure . so after xmas I will start buying some bits like moroso sump, Manley rods and some pistons and get the engine work done.


 I will be taking my time but for sure.  now you can spend tons of money of the engine alone. and I know I will go over budget but if you base that after all is said and done a 2zz swap is £2500-£3000 depending on what parts you buy so let see as a experiment how far £2500 gets me. if I did not rebuild the engine we will take that off the install costs . I will more than likely run hondata and that will add to but can be done with just the immobiliser delete for around £140.

The car will for sure end up costing nothing after I sold some bits off it so I have that money to fit the motor with no mods and that can be done with off the shelf parts but that is not my style.

and before this its paint time so she will look fast and then she will go fast #!

Just took the accord round the block.   s:D s:D    Goes well the torque is just awesome ,  body kit at Wild West custom paint so as soon as she goes down for fitting in it will go and let strip down commence

Anyone any neat ideas on what to use to label the wiring loom ?
