Last night I was driving 120 miles to sunny Swindon in my roadster and someone flashed me from behind. I stopped and got out to investigate only to find that both my top heavy LED stop and tail lights had fallen out. Any ideas about how to secure them into the bulb holders? Silicon sealant? Electrical tape? Replace the damned expensive bulbs for cheap non LED ones...?
Thanks

I can't figure out what you mean... I must be being thick. what fell out? The bulbs themselves fell out of your tail lights AND the brake lights? Tempted to think they're either the wrong bulbs, or not fitted correctly.
...neutiquam erro.

They are the correct bulbs, i've compared them to the glass originals and as they are wedge bulbs you just push them in to the slot. Nice and easy to fit. The LED's are very long and the lens on the end makes them heavy. So i'm going to use some silicon sealant blobs to hold them in place and stop the vibrations and pot holes from working them loose and making them fall out into the tail light enclosure. The stop / tail bulb is the same all-in-one bulb.

I took both my rear lights out in the dark last night, rattled the bulbs around in the rear light units until they fell out, then bent the pins out a bit and fitted them firmly back into the wedge socket, I then wrapped black electrical tape around the connector end of the bulb. The bulbs had to be forced through the holes into the light surround as the black tape had made them thicker it was a bit of a struggle. Now I have LED lights in the rear that aren't likely to fall out, I hope!
