changing the oil and oil filter

how easy is it to do the above on the'2

and what make of oil do u recomend ?

It doesn't look too difficult, but I think you will need to remove one or more of the plastic undertrays to get at the relevant bits.
As for oil, after the problems the Yanks have had, and a couple in the UK, I would suggest any good semi-synthetic - apparently, it looks like running the car on fully synth could be the cause of a lot of the engine trouble, and I remember seeing somewhere that Toyota themselves don't reccomend it. I'll never put it in mine, anyway!
