I would like to turbo my roadster when I have rebuilt the engine and I have an after market fuel computer which I can use.  Brand new to the 1ZZ and Toyotas management to be honest.

My question is, do I need to be retarding timing on boost too or can I compensate with Water Injection etc?

only asking as my toy doesn't do timing so I would need to sell it and swap for something else

I would, think you'd better off with a piggy back ECU Greddy e-manage or if you can stretch to a stand alone ECU a Power FC then I think these are a better option, both do come up for sale every so often.

How much boost/power you going to run?

I would be happy at 200bhp for now which would probably be around 6-7psi on a T28 turbo

I wrote a few replies then deleted them, essentially it comes down to.. i'd bite the bullet and flog the fuel controller and buy an ECU or piggyback that can do ignition like the Greddy ultimate.. you'll spend a lot of time and money trying to bypass not having one.
