A couple reasons why your results from a custom tune will never be exactly the same are the results of changes in air pressure, temperature, and humidity. Test the same car with the same petrol on the same rolling road tomorrow and different weather will give you a different result. Adjusting to these changes is the reason you have a CPU with learning capabilities. These same reasons are factored into a Mr T tune that can work well (but not the best possible) anywhere in the world. Your tune can be optimised for your altitude and weather (low altitude, cold and wet does permit more timing advance, and more power is possible). Intercoolers and water injection are common FI mods to help duplicate your English weather, which appears to have been optimised for maximum horsepower.
