side strikers

Hi , not wishing to open a can of worms ,however I have a question ( don't hate based on my ignorance ) .
I've been searching relentlessly for a pair of side strikers and so far have had zero luck . I've seen on a thread that someone has fabricated some (and also found a flimsy looking set that sold on ebay,obviously home made ) obviously not the forged spec of Toyotas originals . Ive also noted the image of the front strikers and wondered how similar are they in the latch area ,granted that the side strikers are elongated ( I don't have any for dimension comparisons obviously ) . Are these feesably adaptable (with lengthening ) to fit the sides ?
Be gentle I'm learning as I go along .
