Confirm if there's an olive?

I'm gearing up to change my back box. I need to order a steering wheel boss and wanted a smaller steering wheel, so while I'm ordering those, I'm wondering if I need to order an exhaust olive (maybe a proper name for them!)

Whenever I've changed a back box in the past, I've always had to buy one of these...

However, I don't seem to see these being mentioned in various how to guides. Are they not needed with the mr2?
Or am I best being armed with one, as I have read the US lotus style centre exit exhausts don't always line up properly   s:? :? s:?
