Here in Australia we only got the SMT. They all had LSD, but no manual trans versions. I've converted two, but neither of them have mounting brackets for the front console mounting screws.

Does anyone have a pic of the front console mounts on a Manual Trans version so I can see what should be there?

It's just a couple of stamped sheet metal uprights with plastic inserts to take self-tapping screws.  Next time I have a console off, I'll take a pic.

I found this -fuzzy pic, I'm afraid.

Is this the front mount? Pathetic minor detail, I know.

Looks like it...  Haven't had a proper look yet.

If you get in contact with Dean at Rutland MR2, he might be able to rescue a few from the scrapper cars.

Heres a picture of my car, hope it helps.

You can see the bracket you have pictured with the carpet located in the front holes leaving the rear ones on the bracket for the self tappers to locate the centre console (the front 2 screws) of the 4 that hold the console in place.

Most people though dont bother putting them back once they have removed them because they are hard to remove with the seats in and the rear 2 screws seem to hold the console in place but can be accessed just by sliding the seats forward.

Thank you Caroline and thanks Topdownman for that pic. So they are part of the SMT shifter, but separate on a manual ...

My cars are both manual conversions and that bit didn't come with the breaker "conversion kit" I bought. Next time it's out I might fabricate one.
