Just in the middle of changing my calipers, putting everything back together and forgot to take a picture of how the pictured washer was sitting prior to me taking it apart!

That bit with the tail sticking out - it meant to sit in a particular orientation? Doesn't seem to be doing much..  s:? :? s:?

Plus, I noticed there are two holes in the bolt that secures the braided hose into the caliper. I presume you're not meant to know/be bothered if they're sitting at "quarter to 3" or "10 to 4" within the caliper??

Can't see your image.
There are two washers. One to go either side of the 'bango' fitting on the flexi. Both will be present but sometimes it's difficult to see them.
The fitting is bolted in place with the 'hook' pointing towards the caliper body. It is designed to prevent the hose working itself loose in use. There's plenty of images online to keep you right or just compare the orientation with the hose fitting on the opposite front caliper.
