Noticed recently (after a long drive to Newby Hall SCITP) that my 2zz is awful on fuel when on long journeys....not that I do many. Reading about the ecu learning and reacting to how the car is usually driven (which is normally extremely highly spirited to put it nicely) I wonder if even on long journeys it may still think I'm about to wring its neck and chew the fuel? On my next long journey I'm going to try disconnecting the ecu to reset and see if that helps. Anyone know how these ecu's really work?
