Another couple posts will open up the sales.

You're on 29. Need 30.

Can you feel the weight difference when driving.

There are a few people using the koni inserts (there have been a few threads about them) and I think every review I have seen has been positive.

New development, will probably regiater the car asap as it makes my life easier whwn going thru the homologation process later on.

Few points, got a nice parcel feom mr Boris containing under mid brace and antenna hole cover.

Also if I get confirnation that I do not necessarily need type approval TUV for my homologation Ill go with meisterr zeta cdrs asap.

Have a great day all!

It took me more than an hour to adjust the slack in the throttle cable and had to use an extra pair of hands!

Breast plate from you know whom has been installed, so far great experience and it looks amazing. Two of my shocks are gone so Im not going to try to evaluate the effect of it before I install new coils. Advice, smart thing would be to torque it down to recommended torque. Ive thought its OK until I used my torque wrench, I still had a lot of tightening to do.

Clutch started slipping during my short test drive, total passengers weight was more than 200kg plus a few spirited starts - that was enough.
Im even more determined to do the swap now as engine is in poor condition, clutch is slipping and since I need to fix everything I might as well put K24A3 with LSD and shorter first 5 gears, custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat etc ;)

Probably cost less to V6 swap k24 swap is expensive.
I know 2zz isn't as good as the Honda but its getting there for much less.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Not in Croatia where Im from. I can get k24a3 + LSD + 6spd custom gears + custom 200 cel exhaus for the same money as it would cost me to purchase ship and install 2zz 6 spd lsd. For what option would you go?

On a different note Ive just placed an order for meisterr zeta kit, looking forward to it.

Neither.
I don't really like k series or 2zz. No torque needs to many rev.
I like 1zz turbos and V6s.
I've had both.
Shame my supercharged V6 is such a PITA

To each of it own.

Engine you mention is virtually non existent in my parts. K24 will do just fine :)

No right or wrongs.

Just personal preference.
I love to hear a v-tec or 2zz on song at full taps.
Gives me shivers. But I have no desire for one.

I like torque. TDI, elec, forced induction  or just good ole fat NA. Don't care where it comes from, so long as I have some.

Actually, partner is on nights, so home alone. Might fire up youtube and play some dyno runs through the speakers.

Camber bolts, powerflex sells a pair for aprox 20 gbp. Can they be used to front and back meaning I need to buy two boxes? They should give me 1.75 degrees right?

I still havent received my whiteline ARBs even though Ive ordered and paid more than a month ago. Also my meisterr zeta cdra havent arrived yet :(

Any recommendations for discs/ pads, keep in mind Ill be running aptox 220 bhp comes spring. Plan is to upgrade the whole system but if possible keep original dimensions, is that an option for track use and planned power?

Cheers

Pagid discs are well liked.
Was never a fan of drilled or grooved made too much noise.
And no noticeable improvement on road.

Pad wise start with stock and you can work your way through yellow stuff to carbotech.

See what works for you

Spend a few hours yesterday around sorting antenna cable getting it out and trying to cut some slack off the handbrake cable. Next part is to remove the back installation completely and install Boris's cover for the antenna hole.

Removed the leather around the shifter and cleaned it all, found yet again as always in parts when I haven't looked before, some mouse poop and parts of broken security glass. this cars window was smashed and mouse's lived in it that's for sure :D

I rather like the exposed linkage look.
I won't be doing it myself.

Due to the stuff, I will inevitably lose down it.
 But looks good.

Jimbo

Wondering whether you could get a metal replacement for the plastic bits inside but I guess that wouldn't move so smoothly! Nice open gate?

I think a good few on here have looked at that set up. But seems to come down to the spacings are quite narrow, therefore the fingers? Dividers? would be too thin and either not work or not last very long.

Since then. I wonder if worth revisiting with the advent of 3D printing. (not that I know anything about 3d printing)

No, not done it myself either. Think if you had one (plastic) then you could have a few goes at getting the model spot on before paying to get it done in metal. Relatively big size for an at home printer mind.

Still waiting for whiteline ARBs, apparently theyve been discontinued for some time but should be available very soon. Until then my meisterr zetas have arrived.

Few other parts have arrived to solve the suspension puzzle for the time being. It should all come together next week

IG: optimal_zzw30

FredyCro

Slowly but surely...

Next step is wheel alignment and suspension setup. Depending on covid crap Ill go thru or wait with k24 upgrade this winter, things arent looking pretty so far.

First impressions? Well what can I tell - you when you upgrade from 20 y.o. busted shocks/ springs to meisterr/ whiteline/ cusco :)

Staying optimistic, If things go south Ill do a bit of work by myself (antenna cover, soft top delete, seat install etc.) so winter backup plan will be my stress relief or there wont be a problem so Ill go with K24 upgrade. win win :)

Well played.

Never been to Croatia, the nearest I get is working with Croatian. Dragana.

On my list of places to visit. She and family even drove the 1000 miles from Leicester to her parents last year in a VW Passat took about 24 hrs. Left it there flew back.

Given the work in progress on the suspension front. I cannot help but imagine you have some very bendy twisty roads to play on and enjoy. For all the kit you have. Getting a top notch geo sorted will make all the difference. Even on my vanilla suspension, the difference between before and after was night and day.

Look forward to further updates.
