2zz piston specification

Now bear with me here, but.....

Has anyone got the specs for 2zz pistons, in terms of dims from centre of pin to top of piston. Or does anyone have a stock 2zz piston they could send me.... 😉

As I'm having issues getting an engine built to the specification I want without sending the block away to darton in the US.

I've started to think about how I can use the parts I currently have.

Now the 2zz has 82mm pistons, and I also have a set of 8:8.1 82mm forged pistons although for a 1zz.

Rods I don't have a problem with getting another set.

So what I'm looking into doing is running the pistons I have in a 2zz block with a new set of rods.

Reason being it's an easy engine swap and may end up slightly more cost effective thatn sending my 1zz block of for machining and higher tuning potential.

The engineer in me says this should be a possibility, plus I'd end up treating myself to some better engine management which was always the plan with the built 1zz anyway.

Hmm further investigation looks like piston crown design maybe a limiting factor.

So far everyone I've approached don't deal with this engine or if they do, it goes off to the states for it doing.

I've potentially found a company that do, but they want to see the block and sleeves first. They're a sleeving specialist, but have never done a 1zz.

Can you pin the block rather than new liners?

Change of plans now, just picked up a sleeved 2zz block :)
