Alarm Sounder Clip - Foam Tape

I've been sorting out the steering universal joint on my car and removed the spare wheel bin for easier access. To unclip the alarm sounder I had to take off the foam tape round the clip on the wires. I just wanted to check what people did when putting it back in, do you replace the foam with anything?

I havent done anything with mine.

Haven't put anything back on mine. Every time I disconnect it, I never remember where it needs to be squeezed in either, seems quite the dark art to do it.
