Hi guys, I no this will bore you because I've read lots about suspension lately but there don't seem to be a definitive answer to the question. So still trawling through all the mind numbing adds. Think I want all std .
So the simple question is....
Shocks,    Kyb? Maybe
Springs,   Kyb ?
How much
Where from
Having wasted 2 hrs looking I thought it best to ask here. Road to work and all is well but at times it seems abit wayward so a suspention refresh will not go amiss. 115k so all looks original. Easy job I no but are there deals to be had or do I go to my usual supplier ?
No track or racing advise, just car stability thanks.
Best prices welcomed and it may help somebody else ? Hey we need a club discount for accredited suppliers, but I'm probably off track again.
Simple answer... Who, what, how much. I'll report back as I'm itching to get spanner img again.😊
Learning is good. Failing to learn is not an option

I am thinking to mix and match:
Kyb springs + Koni or
Eibach springs + Kyb shocks.

No idea which one is going to be best. Best price I found is autodoc for the 2nd option.

Kyb shocks
Tein springs

Also see how the various bushings wishbones and arms are holding up.

Ask TCB.
Perhaps try GT4 play.
I usually have a good trawl through ebay.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Is this " stock springs" as in supplied by Mr T dealers or is there an alternative source such as the manufacturer, please?

I meant stock specification.  I was lucky in inheriting an unused set of Stock spec. springs.  Which brand they were - I don't recall.

There are so many spring manufacturers out there, I'm sure so a few will make springs to the original spec.

Sometimes it's just cheaper to have them made! A couple of years ago I had to have some very special stainless steel springs made and they really didn't cost much.

I'm sure a bit of internet detection will turn some up.

I did try that but the postage post brexit makes it impossible for me to order anything so if there is any deal id be up to order some parts. 36 quids for a single spring seems quite steep for me. Ill try to look for some deals.

Edit: Found some with 15% off with multi purchase but not sure about the shipping and import taxes. 60 quids for 4 corners.

Maybe try the direct website of the ebay seller, partsinmotion.co.uk. Hopefully they will ship to you

Stock spec springs and KYB struts work very well.  Koni inserts work a bit better with stock springs, but may not be worth the cost for many people.  If you just want a refresh the KYB are fine

As for alternative springs, Eibach isn't made anymore, and lowering springs like Tein or H&R don't match very well with KYB.  They are stiffer than stock and reduce ground clearance, which can be a big issue.
