Mine had some lube marks [the 'soap' stuff] to ease the tyre fitting, but that cleaned off with a cloth - there are no marks or scratches on the top of the rims at all - suppose it depends how careful they were. Trouble is now, they could say you have kerbed them since?!!

The scrapes/scratches are only on the top edge not on the outer face so could only be done by the machine.

Is there nothing you can do about it? Say as soon as they put the new pair on, could you not spray them with something? Their must be something that would protect them?!!!

Just spoken to Toyota who have confirmed that under 2nd hand warranty the alloys are not covered. One of the guys here at work has suggested getting them reprimered for about £35 an alloy.
