10 clicks excessive?

is 10 clicks on the handbrake excessive or normal? how many is the recommended ideal?

Factory Spec in the manual is 5-8 clicks

Does yours also grab so bad. I did new calipers,new discs and new handbreak cables but the handbreak issssss soooo weak.

Surely if it passes the MOT then the handbrake is fit for purpose as testers don't seem slack on this safety issue ?  Or I could be wrong

Too many clicks will get you a "insufficient reserve travel" advisory on your MOT.  It is worth adjusting it back to the 5-8 specification.  There is a how to on the adjustment method, follow it fully and you will get a working handbrake.  You only need to have the car a short while before you can do it from memory, mine gets an adjustment twice a year!
