Title: MR2 Turbo vs Celica Supercharged
Post by: T4YLR on August 9, 2023, 03:48
Hi All! Im in a bit of a predicament on 2 options, and I know this is a mr2 group so it may be bit bias but this is for both people who have owned a gen 7 celica and a mk3 mr2.

I used to own a celica t sport (2zz) and miss the car soooo much it was a blast! im looking into getting back into one after selling but also looking into an mr2, the car will mainly be used on weekends and track use and if I was to buy a celica it will be a 2zz and then to be supercharged but if I was to get a mr2 it will be turbo'd. Now I pretty much know all the benefits and negatives of both but im just wanting some advise on which route I should take if someone whove owned both had to pick from the 2

Cheers in advanced

Please be aware that the cars have nothing more in comon than the Toyota brand.
The gen 7 Celica is a front engine front wheel drive hatchback whereas the MR2 is mid engine rwd cabrio.
They drive very, véry differently.

Good luck.

2ZZ MR2 seems the obvious answer.
