I have a code reader in the west yorkshire area, I will read anyones codes and give advice.
But at £18.50 you should think about buying one. Iv'e looked, Its scary the amount of readers there are and the price difference.
I do not have any connection with this code reader company and cant remember who I bought it off on ebay but I could find out.
It was £18.50 inc post and it reads all mr2 codes and does some live stuff (o2 sensor and injection stuff, it does not read air bag codes , maybe a beter model does that.
It is wired not bluetooth and is about the size of a large phone.
It is made by Creader. I worked at a car garage a couple of years ago and they had a car diagnostics tablet by the same people, the one at the garage was £1000, for £18.50 you can't go wrong.
There is no point buying somthing for £100+ because the mr2 is quite old there is a limit to what you can read with the standard ecu.

Most people buy the Bluetooth ones for less than £5 and then buy torque pro for android does almost everything you want .
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Hi all

I bought an OBD 11 Bluetooth device a few years ago as we had two SEAT cars (now only one) made by Voltas.

Will this work with the MR2 to read codes or make any alterations? When I bought it I believed it to work with all VAG cars.

If I'm not mistaken that's the OBDEleven stuff that came out around 2014ish. It's very VAG-specific but maybe it will read codes via the standard OBD2 channels anyway.

You won't be able to adjust anything

Adding my name to the list: I've got a Veepeak bluetooth dongle and it works well with Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app on my iPhone. I'm based in Croydon, CR0 but work in Peckham, SE15.

I can go on the list.
TOPDON Topscan OBD2 bluetooth to their own software. Works quite well and although I've not tried it, should be able to clear safety fault codes like the airbag.
Milton Keynes area.

I have two available in Bracknell:

  • Foseal Wired Car OBD2 Scanner - Amazon search "B07RQCP5PY"
  • Ricokey OBD2 Bluetooth 4.0 Diagnostic Scanner - Amazon search "B07LDDWTJG"

The Bluetooth one worked fine until Apple updated iOS and now I can't connect to it, so I reverted back to the wired one which continues to work well!

If anyone would like the Bluetooth one for free (just send a few quid donation to the club), please PM me ;)
