My 01/03/2005 Roadster's details are as follows.

VIN  JTDFR320600072142

Eng.  1ZZ2092634

According to the paperwork it appears to have been regularly serviced, the previous owner had it serviced once a year (between 5 and 8K) at time of MOT. Now done 55K and all seems good apart from it getting a new clutch on Tuesday.
Black \'05 Roadster, red leather interior.

Quote from: "life of bryan"
Quote from: "iPap"There is info from Toyota stating the date that the change happened was 21July 2005, when the piston and rings were changed. Production stopped in October 2005. This change was to reduce the rick of higherbol consumption. I have been given this info by two people with connections to Toyota.

The change occured from chassis number jtdfr320100074980 until the end of production, last car built being jtdfr320100076411.

Hope this helps!

Clubs reference section says differently,   l viewtopic.php?p=60046#p60046 l   seems a bit odd to change things for a couple of months production.

According to the Parts book the pistons changed on this date and VIN, but not rings.

Parts book possibly refers to when the upgraded parts entered manufacture, i.e May 2005 with older stock being used up by July when they started being used in engine assembly?

So, changed a few times, and whether any of them totally fixed the issue....??
