Title: Exhaust options (TTE, Postert, team Moon)
Post by: Anonymous on June 2, 2003, 16:43
Which of the above gives the most bhp gain (I've heard 0 for the TTE and 9 for the Team Moon). What are their relative weights, and also how does each sound?

Many thanks,

Mike

I forget the exact figures off the top of my head but the TTE is a couple of lbs heavier than stock (around 2 lbs IIRC) and the Team Moon is a good few lbs (approx 6lbs or so IIRC) lighter than stock.

BHP gains with TTE is unconfirmed but probably minimal, although it may free up the engine to rev more easily.  Varying BHP gains have been reported with the Team Moon as you suggest, there's a lot more experience of this system over on http://www.spyderchat.com as it's a US product.

TM made 4.8hp in the Sport Compact Car project, check the dyno:

Here's another dyno (done by TM), showing a gain of 5.5hp:
