Title: Boot for column
Post by: Fin on April 11, 2017, 20:08
I replaced my lower steering U/J last week. While I was down there, I found the boot where it passes through the bulkhead is split completely (explains why my passenger gets warm feet, but mine stay cold!!).
Can this be bought on its own, or should I bother to try packing it with silicone or similar?
I need to undo everything anyway, since my steering wheel is slightly out of whack now, so I'm happy to go either way.

Had the same problem with mine. Finally got around to replacing it  on Saturday.  You can buy just the boot from toyota, it's about £20 from memory. Then take everything apart again to fit it.

Ok, I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Thanks  s:D :D s:D
Got to take it apart to re-align it anyway!
