Looking at adding some chrome to the interior of the MR2.
Does anyone know if there is a stick on chrome gear gaiter surround available for our Mk3's? I've seen some but mainly for Mk2's.

I bought mine through a friend of a friend...they're getting harder to find.
A company called chromdesign used to make them...have a search ...there are other chrome bits too.
You could ask someone like Dean Roizer at Rutland MR2 or Dick Sloan to keep their eyes peeled for when the next breaker that has one comes in [emoji846]

Looks great, liking the brushed aluminum look.
There's a couple of places you can get the surround for the gaitor, a guy called Rich, who I believe is selling the hood inserts in the commercial sales section of the forum makes them and there is a company in New York who does the whole kit like mine.

These do some nice bits of stuff, sadly all the gear surrounds are just the wrong size and I'm not confident a trimmed one would look good.

The brushed aluminium is across the entire interior, my photo does really show it all off the best. There are sections around the heater vents, all switches, the dials and the door panels. I think the whole kit was about £200 from a company I found on ebay

You could trim the actual vent ribs but it might be a bit too much?

The interior of the 2 definitely needs a lift though, it was something it was always critised for. I love my aluminium but I know the company did other finishes such as wood.

Sorry for turfing up old threads but I was wondering if anyone else was keen on getting their hands on a Chromdesign gear surround? I know they haven't listed them on their website for a while but if we could gather enough interest they might do a group buy production run for us.
