Title: Screwing sub in
Post by: Eddie on May 5, 2019, 05:12
What lies behind the lower rear firewall?
I want to attach my underseat sub here (behind the drivers seat), but don't want to blindly put self tappers through important bits.
The other option is to cable tie to the carpet, but I'd prefer screws if safe to do so.

Safest option would be Velcro

if got a cd miltichanger (retro original) behind my passenger seat with Velcro. Works well and seat keeps it in place as well. If any long legged drivers use yours, check they fit before finalising on the driver side.

There's a little round plastic hole cover behind the passenger seat. If you remove that, there's a hole.
I don't remember how but you can get access behind it easily. That's where I used to have my sub bolted. One big bolt through that hole to hold the bracket I made (just a long solid bar) and then mounted the sub to that
