I'm not 100% sure but I think I prefer the FL rear lights over my (P)FL ones.
Is a straight swap, just plug and play with the existing wiring loom or does the wiring have to be altered/brought from the FL ?
Thanks
You missed your P off there John but we'll let you off as your title was correct ;) ;D I prefer FL (don't tell Sapphire) but I'm afraid I can't answer your query. :o
If the headlights are anything to go by, then no.

Whats a "P" among friends Jane ? :)
Straight swap, as long as the FL lights come complete with the internal looms.
They plug into the existing main loom plugs but have different positions for the bulb holders so need to make sure you get complete units.

Thank you, I thought I had read that somewhere.
It is a straight swap but there is a weight penalty.

Is the weight penalty much different to if I go for a drive before or after Sunday dinner ? ;D

lol no it's not massive, but you can feel the weight difference by hand quite easily.

Which applies to all individual bits and pieces. From lamp units to a battery, lighter exhaust to ditto washer bottle. You will most times not notice a single thing.
And thén it adds up till you dó :o
And also there is no discussing taste. I prefer the PFL units ;)

Is that why someone once told me there are no two MR2s the same ? :)
FL headlights and rears are worth the weight penalty imho. Not for looks they actually work better

Solved that with LED ´bulbs´ at the rear and Osram Nightbreakers front.
FL rears now fitted.

Today i took one of my "new" FL rears out so while out I took the opportunity to weigh and compare with the PFL.
FL rears=1336 gr
PFL rear=1114 gr
Weight difference of 222 gr per side so total 444 gr (15.66 oz).
