Title: Rear Disc Backing Plates
Post by: Gibla on November 14, 2022, 11:20
On both of my cars, these are sub-optimal (aka badly corroded with holes in them)

I am sure I have read comments about whether to replace or simply remove + not replace......can I have some sage advice please?

£21.97 + VAT from TCB, for either handed side for genuine Toyota part

The problem with changing them is how much you have to remove to do so which makes it costly if you are paying someone.

Plenty of people just break off the bits when they lose their strength and leave it at that (myself included).

I have not noticed any problem with running without (as long as you are not worried by this!).

I believe it's possible to trim them prior to fitting so that they can be slotted in place, not sure if it's same with front and rears.
