hi pitch noise through speakers

When i connect the automatic ariel, a high pitch noise comes through the speakers whenever the engine is running.  If the auto ariel isnt connected, there is no noise.  can anyone help?(the ariel is connected Permanently, the electrics to control the ariel is not)

Could be one of 2 things

1) behind the drivers bin there is the areail power box this may not be earthed properly and this could be causing "noise" extra resistance

2) it could be that the arial lead normall coxial has broken down somewhare alond it's run and is spliced on to body pannels and picking up dead voltage from the engine

I would cheack these first   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:
