Has anybody taken the vents off? I'm assuming the fixings are inside behind the removable panel in the storaage space?

(want to remove the platsic grill and replace with mesh)

Huh..? They are pretty easy, I've taken mine off a dozen times  s:) :) s:)  Don't even need any tools anymore, just fingers and it's off in a second or two.

If the posts and links on that SC thread don't help, let me know...

Sorry Tem, MR2blue tried to replace the black plastic for stainless  mesh.

Oh, by the way, why do you feel the need to keep removing yours  s:?: :?: s:?:    s:wink:  s:wink:

Oh you meant that...I actually meant to replace the plastic with a mesh myself, but gave up on the idea.

I keep removing them twice a year to clean the drains  s8) 8) s8)

And a few extra times, first for that meash idea, then for painting them.

Perry,

Looking very nice. Is that welded steel mesh?

I'm after some but struggling to find a supplier these days.

no its normnal ally mesh, but having learnt from previous experience I've given it three coats of lacquer before putting it on so that it wont tarnish.

Halfords do a stainless steel mesh that I used on the celi if that helps? (big holes tho)
