hmm I have this same problem with the HID's in my current lights. I just live with it to be honest, is the main beam dash light an MOT requirement?

Just upgraded my 2000 MR2 headlights and your wiring diagram was absolutely perfect fella - all done in less than an hour and I'm no electrician. Thanks

Does work with that setup the dash light when the main beam is on?

So the FL headlights maintain the PFL bulb H4 as a high beam?
Originally the FL headlights uses HB3 as a high beam if I´m correct.

I can't see a newer thread on this topic.  I have just done this conversion and the Main Beam warning lamp on the dashboard does not come on.

Unfortunately this will get a "fail" on the Irish NCT (Irish equivalent of MoT - not sure of regulation in UK).

Does anyone know an easy way to overcome this?
