Gear box help please

Hi

My partner's gearbox has just, well given up, she has got it to a local garage, Dave Coles in Gosport, Hampshire, recommended by someone on here, who has said it looks like possibly 2 bearings have given up, so looks like gearbox out sent away for a re-build re-fitted with a new clutch etc.

My question is, someone on here was recently offering replacement boxes, 6 speed I think? but I cannot find anything on the search button.

The MR2 is a W plate PFL in fairly good condition with low ish miles for the age, is it possible to fit a 6 speed box? is it worth fitting a 6 speed box?

I think MattPerformance was offering a 6 speed box swap. Have a look in the affiliates section.

Yes, a 6 speed will fit and its all a matter of preference really. I would rather the 6 speed, as it drops the revs a bit on the motorway and if you are replacing anyway, then why not.  s;) s;)
