Interchangeable Gearboxes - MR2 / Celica

Hi guys, new member here and diving in with a question - My brothers gearbox has failed and were trying to fix on a budget. It's a 5 speed box and I've noticed that the box with the same code from a celica can be had for sub £100 against the £200+ for a used MR2 item. Obviously being FWD vs RWD the selectors will be the wrong way round, could anybody advise whether using the Celica unit is possible and outline what's involved? I have the original MR2 box as a donor (in terms of linkages etc). Much appreciated  s:) s:)

If you take all the internals out of a celica they will go in a 2 box but celicas dont have a lsd
