Hello English friends !

Well, I decided to post my problem.

So I have a mr- s 2005 linea sport.

All is well in the best of the world, I am happy.  s:) :) s:)

Only I have a little problem at the level of centralization.

At the beep , the driver's side does not open , the passenger yes .

A key, while normally open.

I removed the doors cons , and what I 've seen , driver side , absolutely nothing happens with the beep, or even with the inner button closure to the car.

Nothing is happening. Not a trésaillement , nothing.

I have to wonder if there would be a relay somewhere , or fuse , which could have made the soul?

Thank you to all of you !!!

Sorry for the trad Google will attempt to do with . p

From what I can gather it sounds like a dead central locking motor.

Hello, thank you for your answer.

So there will have two different engines?

The central locking uses the same controller and fuse for both doors.
So it is more likely the door lock motor, it is obviously the passenger side here in the UK....

If you buy a replacement door lock motor, ensure it is the same as your French MR-S model.
There is more than one design of mechanism and electrical connections are different.
For example, a UK MR2 lock is not the same as a Japanese MR-S lock. Possibly related to the alarm/immobiliser feature?

It is not a difficult task..... but I am unsure how well it translates into French   s:wink:  s:wink:

(The door glass needs to be up/closed for access)

Remove the door card and peel back the clear plastic underneath.

Two metal rods attach the lock to a) outer door handle and b) key lock. They are each retained with a plastic clip. Disengage the clip from the shaft of each rod (they hinge around the locating hole and swing away). Each rod can then be removed from its locating hole.

Three torx bolts (on the outside) and one 10mm bolt (on the inner face) hold the door lock in place. The inner door handle is already free after you have removed the door card.

Remove the lock mechanism complete with inner door handle and disconnect wiring harness.

For reassembly, follow the procedure in reverse!

Bon chance.

I had a bad crease in my Off-side (right) door.  I paid £30 for one in good condition with all its parts and swapped it.  The car is a Japanese MRS and the door was off a European (UK) model.
Everything worked fine, just had to swap the key lock.
Try and find a working door from a breaker?
Edit:  My post overlapped the one above, which gives perfectly good advice.
