Door auto lock on ignition?

Hey all

Am I mis-reading this guide, or is it possible to auto-lock the doors on ignition?

Perhaps I don't have that security system installed, or it's region specific, but I am having trouble following the guide. It starts off saying to check the harness on the kit (maybe the guide is for a specific upgrade?) and to reconnect the negative terminal - do you need to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery?

Would be a nice feature if I could enable it!

I can answer the easy bit.

You can reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 20 mins or so or pull the ecu fuse for the same sort of time.

It is indeed possible on a stock UK car, it's a lot of ignition turning and door opening to program it.

I must add the first set of instructions I found didn't work. I don't recall but I either used the TVSS instructions, or the ones from the service manual. Either way mine now locks once ignition turned to on, and unlocks when turned off.

If you have an MR-S - it may still be possible as I believe it's immobiliser controlled rather than alarm specific (wasn't the alarm system fitted upon arrival in the UK anyway)?

My MR-S has a Toad alarm that auto locks.

I enable it on my UK car - it's quite easy. I then disabled it as I found it annoying!
