When an O ring fails (or goes walkies)... here are a few tips for getting a reliable replacement.

Simply 'getting one out of the box' often doesn't work, for a couple of reasons:

1)  Materials compatibility.  You need to look up which elastomer works best with the fluid it's being used for (Brake, refrigerant, petrol, oil, etc)..

when you know that...

2) Measure the O ring you are replacing with verniers. You want the Internal Diameter and the thickness.  If you don't have the O ring to hand, measure the groove it fits on and the hole it fits in. Remember it has to sit proud above the groove to seal.

Go to the Sealforce shop on Ebay. Use their selection tools to get the O ring you need.

Buy several (they're so cheap!!) so you'll have spares and you can share with other members!!
