Frameless rear view mirror

Following up from the mod to replace the rear view mirror with the Mitsubishi FTO one with map lights I was browsing through ebay looking to see what other Toyota models used the same fitting and the GT86/Subaru BRZ came up.

Japanparts.com do a very nice frameless mirror that looks like it would be a direct replacement :

It's about £70 delivered from Japan so a bit steep but looks like a pretty nice upgrade/mod.

Yes - no reading light on this. It's just another alternative to the standard mirror. A 'cosmetic' rather than 'functional' mod.

Not sure if they have changed the design of these mirrors in the GT86 but they are known to start to de-silver (is that a word?) around the edges.

Mine was replaced under warranty as many have been due to this.

Nice. As large as OEM  but appearing less obtrusive.

Very clear instructions about how to remove/fit.
