Apologies if this topic exists, I tried a search but couldn't find it...

Does anyone know where I can purchase the aforementioned chrome rings in the UK?

Cheers.

Wasn't it something ridiculous like 300quid for the chrome kit?

I thought that someone had snuck 0 on the end by mistake initially.

This is what Mr T offers:

Im not sure if they do the dial surrounds or not (as in speedo etc)...

Thanks guys but these are the original Toyota items, precisely the ones I am trying to avoid as my surname is not Onasis.

I was looking for some replicas...

Ok, so I was 70quid out, but those prices are truly ridiculous.  w www.JapanParts.com w  sell them too (but for some reason, they cost more, £323/£248), but then they look as though they're just the normal TTE parts, ie. the same as the ones Toyota will sell you.

If SpyderChat ever comes back up, you may want to ask about these over there. I seem to recall somewhere in the distant past someone found these for a more reasonable price...

The SC server is in Detroit, and electricity is a rare item around there right now.

Yes, try hmsmotorsport. I got both the tach/speedo and ventilation rings from there. Here's a pic of my dash after the woodgrain application and the chrome rings. I think you can see the vent rings pretty good. (I know, you guys across the pond don't think much of woodgrain on the 2's, but I'm over here   s:wink:  s:wink:  )

I love it, $75 for three chrome rings.  You can buy gold jewelery cheaper than that!  s:) :) s:)

No, but a hell of a lot better pricing than TTE or japanparts stuff

If you are after crome (effect) rings for a pre 2003 model, you can order the 2003 rings from Mr T for approx £4 each, £12 for all three.

you just need to dremmel the lugs off the back and get some airfix (Sorry can't remeber the ring name) glue and hey presto, Crome ring look.

You can also do this with the Tweeter surrounds, £3 each.

Cheep upgrades and they look really effective on a pre 2003 model.

Cheers hope this helps

Chromdesign is the producer of the TTE-chorme sets and some additional parts, have a look here.  m http://www.chromdesign.de/ m  the online-shop should be the cheapest way to get this parts. Only one problem: Last year TTE didn´t allow them to sell parts included in the TTE chrome sets. I don´t know the actual situtation... call them and ask.

I have some oft the chromedesign parts and I´m not satisfied with the quality  s:!: :!: s:!:
