The more I look, the more I reckon Superleggeras look perfect on a '2. What spec are rims and tyres? Just need to find a set for sensible money...

They really suit the car, a rare sight on a roadster I'm guessing due to the price compared to many other aftermarket alloys.

Are the sp12s somehow based on superleggeras?

Don't think so, sp12s are much cheaper and also lightweight like the oz

Thanks!

These OZ Superleggeras were bought second hand, I think they are discontinued now, it's Clio/Yaris/etc fitment, so they are not that rare. Yes they are very lightweight. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sports 3 215 45 16 rear and 195 45 16 front. Wheels are 4X100 16X7.5J Et35

The last time I priced a set up (few years ago) they were around £1200 without tyres in 17"   s:scared: :scared: s:scared:

Thats a different type of Superleggera, the Superleggera III can still be bought new and costs a fortune, they are forged.

The ones fitted to the MR2 are not that expensive.

Don't know wheel make they are 17" x7J ET40
Fronts Toyo T-1R 205/40, rear 215/40

Getting near the limit now thinking of switching to some Yoko S Drives and go ba bit wider and narrower profile on the rear 225/35. Any experience of these tyres and this set up?

Needs dropping badly now sits far to high on the Teins especially the front needs coming down at least another 15-20mm.

Some epic looking 2's on spyderchat in the US, seems the "Roadster" UK scene steers away from a good drop on coilovers, the 2 looks so much better around 40-50mm drop over stock & 30mm springs. Bit of a shame with zero arch gap and a decent amount of poke they can look pretty epic!
