So before I dismantle this headlight for my experiment, I thought I'd give the lens a sand and polish just cos its a superb hot day and this involved me getting sprayed with the water..
So here's the before I started pic, someone had a go at sanding it before it came to me.

I basically wet sanded, alternating directions every time I went up a grade in sand paper. The idea being that as soon as the previous direction of sanding has disappeared you can then change. Started at 1000, then proceeded with 1500, 2000, 2500,3000 & 5000.

Here it is after sanding.

Then I applied the scratch remover.

And yeah... it's better definitely. Still some scratches that I could fix. But that's how it's done.

Finally you MUST apply UV sealant, otherwise you'll be back where you started:

I bought it a few years back- basically googled and found it.
Can't seem to find it at the moment.. maybe there is an alternative brand?
