I had Michelin Pilot Sports on my BMW Z3 and after just 15 - 18 months the outer edges were all cracked, they looked like 15 year old tyres!
Small man syndrome? Not me, I'm 5' 5" AND A HALF!

Had a set of PS3s on my track car for ages. Super impressive and took one hell of a beating time after time.  Well worth every penny.

I couldn't find a set of anything in the sizes needed to have them all round which appeared better than the PS3. It's a shame they have not been updated to 4 or 5 but the 15 inch is the limiting factor. They are far better than the Avon's that are on the car I'm talking about here that I've just bought and have about 6mm on them

There may be better now, I don't know, I haven't looked at tyre tests for 2 years or so.   And especially 15", because I use Facelift sizes.  The best available in tests that could be got in the sizes were Hankook Ventus Prime 3.

If it's an all-round road tyre rather than track-prioritised you want it's getting harder because very little in new tyres will be made in 15".

The Hankook Prime 4 was also favourably tested but minimum diameter was 16".  I bought a set of 16" wheels for front Prime 4, but didn't run them for long enough to really assess.

The Avon (zv7 ? ) is an old tyre & was poorly regarded in tests.  I've read some more recent buyers of them are reporting very premature cracking.
