6 speed swap - stuck in gear

Hello again everyone I have my car back together new engine is running great. However I purchased a used 6 speed c60 with lsd and longer 6th along with the selector and installed it on the car. This gearbox is stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear judging my its max speed on a ramp. I have removed selector cables and tried putting it in neutral and nothing. Seller isnt responding. What should I be investigating to confirm if its the box or incorrect selector? Selector came already attached to the box. Id appreciate any and all second opinions. Thanks

There's an inspection hole, where the selector shaft goes. It's where the selector mechanism goes in Celica, before reversing it for mr2. Usually is covered by metal cap, sometimes cap is missing.
When you look inside that hole, the selector shaft should move forward/backwards when changing gears.
In my case the shaft was blocked there and wouldn't move all the way, resulting in no 3rd or no reverse gear.
Solution was to re-allign the shaft - 10min job.

Ive inspected it now selector moves fine, removed selector completely and moved the forks by hand and still even witb forks in neutral position box is stuck in gear. To my untrained mind the box is damaged, shifter collar is broken maybe? Either way sounds like the box will have to come back out

That rules out my theory.
You're probably right - unfortunately - looks like a box out and take it from there.
I hope it would be something easy enough.
