Yes, I use Nathan for work on my 2 for most stuff;
MrTwos

Cant recommend him highly enough!

He will fit your supplied parts, is very knowledgeable about Mr2s (no surprise there!) and is very competitively priced. Well worth travelling to see him.

You will need to book it in, you cant just turn up though.

Thanks, have dropped him a text. Hopefully I get a reply over the weekend

Totally agreed.
The ZZW30 is not an exotic. Certainly the strut legs are common.

Hope you get it sorted @Craigjm

Agreed but this wasnt really the point of this post. Most places that do work on older cars will not fit the parts the customer supplies so you have to go with their stuff and pay their mark ups etc that was my point. Finding somewhere that wont insist on that.

Have contacted MrTwos as its not far from me. No response yet though

Ok, get that.
I live in an alternative reality where the independents simply charge for hours labour regardless of what I ask them to do or fit.
Again, good luck.

Anyone got good contact with MrTwos? Can't seem to get him to answer his phone or read text messages.

Sometimes it seems that a company that uses Face Book to communicate with it's Customers looses sight of other communication methods.

Yeah that's the number I've been trying. Will send a message over Facebook

Thanks, he responded really quickly on Facebook. Will do a quote with parts on Monday and should be able to do it the following week. Good stuff. He has already told me the labour costs and that's cheaper than I expected. Thanks everyone

Quote from: Craigjm on January 12, 2024, 13:30Anyone know a decent specialist somewhere in the midlands that will fit parts that you supply or can get them at a good rate? this isnt a job I want to do myself and now one of the springs has snapped so needs doing before the MOT. My local mechanic guy cant do it as the spring compressor they have isnt small enough

I see your in Leamington

When I changed my sitting and dampers I did it myself but T&h motor services opposite the Clarendon happily changed over the springs on the dampers for me on their machine. I think they would likely fit to the car too.

ABJ autos under the railway also did done work for me and would do suffering like that

Quote from: Craigjm on November 29, 2023, 10:01Are KYB shocks better than the original Toyota?
I have no frame of reference with new Toyota parts but, I have KYB springs and shocks all round, and the ride and handling is fantastic.

That's useful to know. Will see what mr twos says as he should be coming back to me today and then I will probably have a chat with both of them

You can add VAT as many times as you like. Plus handling charges. Plus re-branding. Etc, etc ...

Got my quote from Mr Twos for all the items for a complete refresh with standard springs and KYB shocks, fitting and alignment and its less than MR2Ben just for the parts. Will be going forward with that hopefully end of next week when he can fit it in. Will report back
